The Advocacy Center of Louisiana protects, empowers, and advocates for the human and legal rights of people with disabilities and seniors living in Louisiana, in order that they may live an integrated life in the community, free from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

  • Eligibility 

The Advocacy Center of Louisiana serves Louisiana residents with:

     ● physical disabilities
     ● mental illness
     ● intellectual disabilities
     ● traumatic brain injury

The AC also serves residents of Orleans Parish over the age of 60, with or without a disability.

The Advocacy Center of Louisiana provides services to people with disabilities and seniors regardless of income.

Capital Area Alliance for the Homeless

CAAH serves as the Continuum of Care for the Louisiana parishes of Ascension, East & West Baton Rouge, East & West Feliciana, Iberville, and Pointe Coupee. CAAH members provide Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, and Permanent Supportive Housing for chronically homeless individuals, persons with a range of disabilities, and families experiencing homelessness for the first time.  In addition to housing, our members offer a range of services that include outreach to the homeless, behavioral health referrals, substance abuse treatment, veterans services, life skills training, job training/placement, youth shelters, and literacy/GED classes.
